Born from primal rage and the shared love of Kim Gordon, Flower Kitty is an all femme grunge band who isn’t afraid to talk about basic human rights, female autonomy, and men fumbling the bag. Formed by best friends MK Mahany and Caroline Russo , the two took on the challenge of learning guitar and bass respectively for the first time. Enlisting in help of other members of the Rochester music community, they began to grow their musicianship and following quickly building a name for themselves within the scene. In 2025, Torri Ross joined the group taking on the role of lead guitarist and not too soon after they would release their first EP. They continue to play shows locally in Rochester but hope to branch out into touring in the near future as they gear up to record their first full length album.
